INVESTORS

Sixteen products. One engineering standard.

NextGen Intelligence is a senior engineering practice that builds production software for founders, and builds its own products on the same standard. We are raising, and we are open to co-investment in individual products in the portfolio.

THE THESIS

Why does an engineering practice own sixteen products?

NextGen Intelligence takes equity instead of fees when the economics suit both sides, so the practice accumulates ownership rather than only revenue.

Clients keep their code and their repo. There is no lock-in. Senior engineers build the product themselves and stay with the work.

Where an equity engagement fits, NextGen shares the risk with the founder instead of billing by the hour.

NextGen Intelligence is a senior engineering practice for founders who need production-grade software, operating across South Africa, the USA, Mauritius, Brazil and Sri Lanka.

AT A GLANCE

  • Sixteen products built in-house, all live and documented on this site
  • Seven sectors: healthcare, fintech, compliance, HR, medical practice, restaurant operations, professional services
  • Four founders, all of whom have started and carried companies of their own
  • Five-country operating footprint
  • Equity-for-fee engagements available, so the portfolio compounds

THE MODEL

How does the equity-for-fee model work?

Fee

Standard engagement. The client pays, owns the code, and walks away whenever they like.

Equity

Where the economics suit both sides, NextGen takes ownership instead of part of the fee, and carries the risk with the founder.

Own products

Where NextGen sees the gap itself, it builds and owns the product outright. Sixteen so far.

WHY IT COMPOUNDS

What makes a portfolio built this way different?

The reusable engineering layer beneath every product has to handle load, failure, security, data integrity and maintainability. Those foundations do not stop mattering when the product goes live.

The sixteenth product costs less to build well than the first because the standard and the people are already in place. The work compounds through a shared engineering practice, not by lowering the bar.
